Being creative

buy generic isotretinoin no prescription When we found out we were having a boy, there was no question in my mind that we would decorate his room in sports. After all, his dad played all of them at some point and still coaches or enjoys the majority of them in some way. Plus, being a gal that enjoys a good sports outing, the choice of decoration was a no-brainer.

I have some trouble visualizing, though. I knew I wanted things in red, white, and blue. I knew I wanted a modern sports look. And I knew that I wanted some interesting accent wall-type colors.

So here’s what we have so far:

He has a blue and white closet – Aaron has painted the main parts of the bi-fold doors blue and the indentations are still white. Looks really cool.

He has blue built-in shelves – They were originally light blue with white clouds for Alexandria’s ocean theme, but we figured this didn’t work with the boyish sports theme we were creating.

He has a bright red dresser – It was my grandmother’s and it was light blue. So, it did match A’s blue cloud built-in shelves. I had a hard time changing the color because the blue was my grandmother’s blue – her whole room was this color – but then my mom (her daughter) convinced me she would love knowing that we were using the cabinet in this way, regardless of color.

He has a blue carpet – We haven’t put it in the room yet because Aaron is still working on the walls; but it’s such an awesome color, and we found it at a great price. I’m so pumped about this one.

He will SOON have a valance that looks like pennants with his name on it – My mom is making the pennants part (I don’t sew), and I just finished cutting out the letters and stars for the embellishments on the pennants. They look so awesome, if I do say so myself. I don’t sew, but I can cut! 🙂 I used a Varsity font and red/white/blue felt to match the pennants. Oh, and this valance will go over red curtains from my nephew’s room.

Pictures will come soon….
