Everyday Essentials at Sam's Club
With a family of six, we go through juice and crackers and chips and diapers — oh the diapers — like you wouldn’t believe.
There’s also an amazing amount of mess in our house. You can imagine the spills and dust and dirt that exist on our floor. A tween who may not realize what she’s tracked in, two boys who are wild and crazy, a crawling baby, and two furry dogs creates quite the mess!
Sam’s Club has a variety of Everyday Essential items that help our family and keep us within a budget that doesn’t break the bank. Whenever we need to stock up on cleaning supplies or other bulky type purchases, Sam’s Club is our destination.
But shopping with six people can be daunting especially considering we live in the “sticks” and it takes at minimum 20 minutes to get somewhere that allows us to shop for more than just the basics.
I hadn’t realized that Sam’s Club offered a Store Pick-Up option. Now I’m even more in love with the store.
Store Pick-Up is really easy. First, you shop online in the convenience of your home. During naps. While the kids are playing. After they go to bed. Whenever works for you. You can see online deals and steals, and searching for the items you need is simple.
One piece that I learned about the online shopping and in-store Pick-Up was that I needed to have made my choices and submitted my list by 5 pm if I wanted to pick everything up the next day. Once I realized that, I was able to plan for our shopping trip.
We bundled everyone up and headed for Sam’s Club. We did want to do some looking around (and testing of the samples!), but knowing that many of our needed items were already waiting for us was a bonus. I’d received an email that morning (ahead of schedule, by the way) to let me know that what I needed was waiting on me.
After we finished perusing the store, Miss Sassy Pants and I headed to the Pick-Up kiosk. I entered my order number (remember, I had an email on my phone) and boom! The attendant came to greet me and get my cart.
The cart was already labeled for me and waiting. We checked out with the other stuff we’d found in the store, and we were done!
I was especially pleased with my purchase of Bounty Holiday Print. Now, I can have those cleaning supplies and be festive at the same time!
Math Man and I have decided this is the way to go! In the future, I’ll know that I need to take a little more time deciding what we’ll buy prior to heading in so we don’t have the added perusal time.

I wouldn’t buy for myself, I’d buy essentials for Mom. Things are tight since her stroke and it’s hard to fill in the gaps. But God is good and we will make it no matter what. Merry Christmas!

I would buy a new pair of boots. I need a new pair badly. I love Sam’s club and shop there weekly. The only caution I would offer for the online ordering is that if buying a great “Deal” don’t try to set a future pickup date. I learned just today that if even if you purchase online and pay for an item it isn’t pulled from the shelf till just before the pickup time you specify. That means that if it is a high demand item it likely will not be there when you go to get it. Thankfully the employees were wonderful and went out of the way to make the situation right.
