I love the Oster Pro 1200 (Review)

Once upon a time, I did a lot of cooking. I wasn’t amazing at it, but I found that if I had decent tools, good recipes, and time…well, the stuff I was making was pretty awesome. Time has been a problem for me over the last few years, but I’m starting to get some of that back as the kids are having an easier time fending for themselves. And now that I’ve had a chance to play with the Oster Pro 1200, I can easily say I have decent tools.
To be honest, I let my old blender go about two years ago. It just sat in the cabinet for such a long time, probably crying from not ever being used, and it was time to say goodbye. I hadn’t missed it.
But then I had a chance to receive and try out the Oster Pro 1200, and boy howdy — this is not your mama’s blender.

The Oster Pro 1200 is pretty and definitely sleek. But that isn’t what makes it so great.
Once I gathered the ingredients for our milkshakes (which really just meant ice cream but I try to not keep that around), it was time to try out the new blender. Flash was pumped to help me pour in the milk. Sassy Pants was all about pressing buttons.
I think my favorite part of this blender is this nifty feature: I don’t have to hold the button down, and it has a timer — yes, a timer — to know how long it needs to blend my ingredients in order to reach the desired consistency.
