Mamavation Monday: Happy Merry Holly Jolly!
It’s the MOST wonderful time of the year. Really, I love the holidays and the excitement that leads up to Christmas morning. I love watching my children look for Elfie (yes, I succumbed to the Elf on the Shelf tradition), and I love, love, love watching the faces of my friends and family as they open the gifts we’ve picked out especially for them.
Since it is Mamavation Monday, I’ll share that this past week, I have been working to be really good. With all of the great food beginning to be part of our days, it’s hard. Luckily, I received my copy of Hip Hop Dance Experience from Ubisoft (stay tuned for my review after the New Year). I’ve been dancing to this for the last couple of days. It’s definitely a great workout, and I’m sweating by the end of it! I even worked in a couple of walks to the post office since the weather was beautiful toward the middle of the week!
Otherwise, I’m proud of myself for keeping the chocolate chip cookies (mostly) in the cookie jar. I still haven’t had a soda. I did have some tea that my sister-in-law made, but there was no caffeine and the sugar was real.
I hope each of you have a wonderful holiday season regardless of your beliefs and customs. I think no matter where we are or what we practice, this time of year becomes one of peace and love. May you be filled with that awesome feeling of happiness as we near the New Year.
