This world has become an ugly place. Everyone is fighting. Everyone has something negative to say. Folks are complaining and worrying about issues that don’t directly relate to or affect them. It’s hard to look at social media or the news to find anything positive or uplifting. Thank goodness for movies like Same Kind of Different as Me (coming October 20) to remind us of the good in people.
The trailer for Same Kind of Different as Me, which is based on book and true story, gave me more hope in the two plus minutes of its run time than I’ve seen in quite some time. Check out the trailer below.
I’d heard the title of the movie before but in reference to the novel. Now that I know more about its content and purpose, I’m so excited to go see it. With actors like Greg Kinnear, Renée Zellweger, Djimon Hounsou, and Jon Voight, I am certain that it will be fabulous!
The book is co-authored by Ron Hall who also produced the movie. I love his message of making a difference and seeing each other through God’s eyes. Seems like that’s what our country could use just about now.
