Smarty Pants Vitamins – A Review

Because I’m currently nursing a baby, I have to make sure I take my vitamins. The frustrating part about taking vitamins is finding some that aren’t full of junk. Sure, my vitamins have all of the pieces in them — folic acid, Vitamin E, Vitamin D, iron, etc. — but I have a hard time finding some that are free of artificial dyes (why do I need a dye in my vitamin?) or flavorings.

In the past, when I’ve tried gummy vitamins, I’ve been completely grossed out. Too often, they’ve tasted like — well — yuck. But Smarty Pants vitamins? They’re tasty. In fact, when I take them, I sort of tell myself I’m eating candy.

You may be thinking that they must be full of sugar if they taste that great. Well, they do use sugar. But it’s REAL cane sugar, not the fake aspertame or sucralose that are over and over linked with health problems. So, if I’m going to have a sweetener of any sort, I’d rather have the real thing. And Smarty Pants uses organic cane sugar. I love the answer Smarty Pants has on their FAQ page about their choice of organic sugar:
