What’s more fun than playing in the snow when it’s freezing outside? Grilling! Or at least, that’s Math Man’s opinion. Hand him some meat to put on the grill, a cold one in his hand, and he’s a happy boy. When I received the Smoker Box from Cave Tools, it wasn’t difficult to convince him to smoke something for the blog.

It took us a while to get in our heads what we would smoke. We were worried about doing a full turkey because we weren’t sure the Cave Tools box would be big enough.

So we waited until after Thanksgiving to smoke some pork tenderloins. When my BFF and her family came over for our annual Christmas gift exchange and dinner, we knew it was the perfect time to try the tool.

Math Man was first impressed by how well designed the box is. Made out of stainless steel and promising not to warp, the box seems small but is mighty.

He added the wood chips and did not include water as he was used to doing with other experiences of smoking meat on the grill. He placed the box on the readied coals and stepped away.

What resulted was delicious pork tenderloin that was moist and tasty. We did finish the cooking of the pork on a low temperature in the oven.
