Valentine's Day

buy Aurogra without rx In August, I wrote about 1/2 Valentine’s Day. Lo, and behold, it’s 6 months later. The “real” day is here, and boy has it been a great one.

The Animal slept pretty well last night – finally – and before he left for work, Aaron presented Miss Sassy Pants and me with our own Valentine’s cards and treats. She got some Valentine’s cakes. I got chocolate peanut butter candy. He knows us well.

Then, my dad called and invited the Animal and me to lunch – anywhere I chose and whenever I chose. Of course, I accepted. Who doesn’t want to go to lunch with the mayor? Especially when he’s paying?

While little man napped, I worked my tail off with students and to get some extra deadline work completed. Then, we went to lunch, the grocery store, and the dollar store.

When we got home, baby participated well enough for me to make some cupcakes. Funny thing was, I really tried to make them in the shape of hearts. I’d seen this awesome idea on Pinterest to use a marble to mold the cupcake liner into a heart. Well, apparently, you really do have to use a marble because the wadded up piece of paper I used just didn’t work. Doesn’t matter. Slap peanut butter frosting on cake, and my family is happy.

For dinner, I made a taco ring. This one, I was successful at making into the shape of a heart – and it tasted good – and the Animal kept eating from my plate: carrots, peas, green beans, strawberries. He’s a hungry boy these days.

Now, baby has gone to bed, and Miss SP is on her way. Aaron and I will spend the rest of the evening watching some pointless TV and gorging ourselves on the non-heart-shaped cupcakes I made.

How does any of this apply to my August post? It’s just further evidence that I’m ridiculously blessed and happy. Today was just a normal day in the life of a little family. It wasn’t grandiose; it wasn’t extravagant.

But, I’m one of the happiest gals on the block. Life is good. <3
