Mamavation Monday #2

It’s my second official Mamavation Monday. This past week didn’t go exactly as planned, but what ever does?

I want to rejoice first in the things I did well:

  • I paid very close attention to the water I was drinking and made a conscious effort to drink more.
  • I walked a 5k (started jogging so I’d look cool), and finished in right at 43 minutes. Considering I finished a 5k jogging last year at about the same time, I’m pretty proud of myself. I didn’t win any trophies, but Miss Sassy Pants made me her own medal that gave me first place — because she’s awesome.
  • I Midvale cut back on the amount of sweets I ate.
  • I paid closer attention to the food I was choosing, and I worked really hard to not ignore my body’s need for good nutrition.
  • I managed to finish my work by 5pm each day so that I could hang out with my family after work hours.
I’m not going to dwell on things that I didn’t do well, but I can say that I never did get to that Wii Zumba. Maybe this week?
The Animal is turning one this Friday, so I’m gearing up for family and friends to join us in celebration. That means that I’ll be moving about the house cleaning and vacuuming and scrubbing. That should help!
This week’s goals:
  1. add more water to my day
  2. do a bit of extra exercise – some sit-ups, etc.
  3. fix the clutter of this house so that I’m less stressed out!
