Mamavation Monday: Let the Hazing Begin

Mamavation Monday: Let the Hazing Begin

It’s Mamavation Monday, and the hazing has begun.

If you don’t remember, I have applied to be a Dongsheng Mamavation Mom for Campaign #17. Our favorite Mamavation dude, @MrBookieboo, started off our hazing this week with 3 sets of 10 burpees. I jumped up as soon as I saw the tweet and went into the living room to get them done. Miss Sassy Pants’s eyes got really big as I started, and within the first few she was on her feet and doing them with me. In the end, she did 2 and 1/2 sets with me.

The look in her eyes as we were working through them together made every second worth it. And it also told me that this is why I’ve applied: to be an inspiration to the rest of my family and to model good and healthy living.

This past week was a great one. I turned 35 (eeks!), I read a whole book (wow!), and I chopped off my hair (ooooh!).

Let’s keep it short and sweet and go on to victories:

Non-Scale Victories

1. I went to the store and walked down the candy aisle and STAYED STRONG. Like, I didn’t even buy a piece of gum.

2. We went out for my birthday, and I did let myself indulge in a sundae — but I’m going to count it as moderately healthy since it had strawberries and coconut.

Scale Victories

1. I’m down another 3 pounds. That brings the total weight loss since the day I gave birth to 33 lbs.

2. I’m only SIX pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight!

How was your week?
